WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR OTHERS?

It is not necessary to elaborate or try to make more profound the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  This question that he posed is simple and provocative on its own.  Surely Reverend King learned to love and care for others through the teachings of Jesus Christ.  So this blog entry is just a simple reminder that on Monday, January 21, 2013, the United States  will honor the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. by celebrating a National Day of Service.  What service will you offer?  It is a simple challenge that we should look for more than this one day per year.  If you do something in the way of service on January 21, make it a meaningful experience and share it with other people so that they might consider doing something for others as well. And if you feel inspired, read some of the speeches and writings of this good man as they will certainly change the way you think about your neighbor and your community.
